Astonishingly, the chive plants are still in full bloom in the community garden. I love this view, which shows off one of the several colourful murals created by Calgary artist Dean Stanton that are featured prominently in the space. So bold and fun!
Lovely photo! 🙂
Thank you so much!
You’re welcome ❣ 😊
I like chives, and their flowers are so pretty.
They have amazing flowers! Sometimes I forget to cut them for eating and just grow them for the flowers…. 🙂
Me too.
Wist je d
sorry.Wist je dat de bloemetjes ook eetbaar zijn?
Yes, they are so delicious! 🙂 I like to use them in salads and infuse them in vinegar for dressing….
Why don’t I grow chives!? I love the look and the taste–need to plant some next year!
Aren’t they great? I guess the only drawback is that they reseed like mad…but they’re easy to pull up if you don’t want them.
The purple of the chives looks lovely against the colorful wall. 🙂
Such a fun combination!
What great shot of the chives against the mural!
Thanks! I don’t know why I never photographed them this way before…the chives are in the herb garden of the community garden and have been in the same place for years, so I should have thought of setting this image up before this. They look really great together!
So beautiful, the mural is a perfect backdrop for the gorgeous chive flowers.
They look fantastic together! 🙂
such a great photo of both flower and mural. Excellent work!
Thanks so much, I really appreciate the compliment! 🙂
I love chive flowers and so do the bees!
They sure do! Another reason to grow them!
🙂
Just cut mine back – they are a lovely flower and good to eat too 🙂
They definitely are! Love them!
I love the combination of good chives and the gorgeous art work in th back: perfect!!! Chicke floors and soft cheese, a perfect combination too ;o) xo Johanna
