Lovely tulips! We are shopping for patio furniture this weekend. Any tips with where to find some reasonable priced ones are more than welcome:)

I hope you had success with your patio furniture shopping! There are so many beautiful sets available now…but they can get pretty pricey.

We’re transplanting tomatoes and peppers, thank you. Maybe the eggplants, too.

That sounds like an enjoyable gardening task!

Beautiful tulips! Ours are finished. Maybe you can help me with this. How long do you leave the stem and leaves without cutting them back. I am thinking (rightly or wrongly) that if I leave the stems etc until they turn yellow, then some of the nutrients are going back into the bulb for next year. Is this true or am I living in a fairy tale.

You’re right! You can cut the flower stems off once the blooms are spent, but wait a bit for the leaves…as you say, the plants need a bit of a waiting period to return energy back to the bulbs. When the leaves go completely limp and turn brown/yellowish, you can cut them back.

Gorgeous tulips. My to-do-list for this weekend is to take a rest. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve gardened every day this week plus a couple of DIY projects and a small painting project. I’m tired and looking for a good book and a fun day trip. ๐Ÿ™‚

Lovely shot. This weekend (or the whole summer at the rate progress is being made!) we are removing the 70 year old wire fence and posts and refencing a strip of our yard. I has taken three days to remove, clear and prep 2 holes. BIG job.

Oh my goodness, that sounds absolutely MASSIVE! I hope it goes well for you and that you get a few minutes to relax, at least…. ๐Ÿ™‚

That’s wonderful that you were able to spend some time in the garden on the weekend! I got a bit of weeding done but there’s always a ton of it. I enjoy the task, though – I find it relaxing!

Oh now, those are mega cheery ! Hi Sheryl and thank you ever so much for my prize. I got your book last week and finally had time to dive into it last night. Gorgeous ideas! I’m growing a wall of sweet peas this summer, they’re coming along nicely. I shot a photo when they’re worthy! Cheers my dear xK

I’m so glad you’re enjoying the book! And I hope your sweet peas are doing really well – looking forward to seeing a photograph! One of my very favourite flowers – and they smell divine. ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope you’re having a wonderful week so far.
