Here’s a flashback to a gorgeous sunny morning in mid-June, and these new Supertunias from Proven Winners were really putting on a show in my garden. ย What do you think of the brilliant green edge on ‘Picasso in Purple’?

(You can preview the 2017 collection from Proven Winners here).

I love the purple color of the supertunia, more so than the green edging, but they are very beautiful!

      It’s definitely an unusual combination.

Not usually a petunia fan, but the green edge is quite eye-catching! Have a great weekend Sheryl!

The green edge is interesting, but it looks a bit as if the flowers are not very well ๐Ÿ™‚

I hadn’t thought of it that way: like a discolouration due to a virus or disease or something of the sort. Those types of issues can cause really unusual patterns/colours….

I love those flowers and grew them once in my garden, but in the winter as they can’t take the heat.

They do prefer cooler weather, that’s for sure!

They’ll be available next spring, all over North America. They’re fantastic in containers!

I love them – wish I would have bought some for my garden!

They’re really wonderful long-time bloomers…they lasted all summer. Hopefully you’ll find some to buy next spring! ๐Ÿ™‚

Sheryl – I recently read your article on propagating herbs in the Herb Quarterly. I remember doing that… very informative…
