LOL – it’s true! We’ve had a really dry spring and the plants are suffering, even if we’re basking in all the sunshine and warmth.

      Hope your weekend was lovely!

Yup…when the rain FINALLY comes, we have to put with this! So far my graden was too dry or washed out by rain storms…have a great weekend, Johanna

Too much rain is definitely not a joy…it’s either one extreme or the other, it seems.

Enjoy your week – hopefully it will be a nice sunny one!

Those colors are so beautiful, kind of like a ripe peach. It’s raining here every night, which is better than a drought, but it makes it hard to get into the garden!

Yes, that’s so true! I hope the sun has come out for you this week!

Is it only gardeners who love the rain and hate it in equal measures? Lovely picture ๐Ÿ™‚

Ah yes, with the rain, timing is everything! ๐Ÿ™‚

A great weekend to you, too. It will be another wet one here, I think.

I do hope you’ve had a bit of sun! Is it a typical winter there as far as precipitation goes, or are you having more (or less) than usual?

      1. Gallivanta Avatar

Some parts of the country seem to be having more precipitation than usual. As for cold, parts of NZ have just had two of the coldest temps on record.

Thank you! Our temperatures have soared again this week – what an extraordinary spring and summer (so far)! I can’t remember a June where we had so little precipitation.

Enjoy the weekend – I can’t believe the week went by this quickly!

Thank-you Sheryl. I hope your weekend is fantastic! We have had a very dry month too and, until a couple of days ago, very cool and windy as well. We have warmth at last! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m growing Gaillardia for the first time this year. Tough, beautiful, and is supposed to bloom from June to September (though this is claimed for many flowers, so I’m waiting to see it with my own eyes.

Heat and drought often take their toll on them here in late July, early August, but I think if they weren’t stressed, they might just bloom that long.

And we finally had some dry weather for a day…love this flower!
