Fish Creek Provincial Park is Canada’s second largest urban park (Rouge National Urban Park in Toronto is tops in the country).ย  Fish Creek features 80 kilometres (50 miles) of trails, the tiniest fraction of which I accomplished this morning.ย  But what a lovely start to the day!

I would love to have a bit more autumn-like conditions like you’re getting there! The weather has been crazy here this year! Still very pretty, though…. ๐Ÿ™‚

I used to live in a house that backed on the Park. So much to do, so much to see – it is a great park!

I so agree! I have never explored every part of it and there is always something new to see…and it’s so fun to go out in different seasons.

I love your winter pictures. I wonder how many creeks are called Fish or Fishing Creek. I know a few Fishing Creeks.

Oh yes, you’re right – a really common name! Apparently there are lots of brown trout in this particular creek, and some rainbows as well. I don’t know how many people actually fish there, though – the Bow River is much more popular for anglers in the city.

I hadn’t been out there in quite some time; it was so quiet and relaxing just to walk for a bit.

What a fantastic park to have in the city. Looks like it has a real wilderness feel.
