The prickly pear cacti were blooming in Drumheller during our visit in mid-June. Magnificent!

Saw this same cacti blooming at Klusken Hill park near Grande Prairie, AB. Beautiful.

I am seeing photos of cactus all over the north. They are hardy plants, but don’t like our wet weather.
