Warm summer weather is FINALLY here…now if only I could figure out how to preserve it for winter! Is that recipe on Pinterest somewhere?

I hope you’re having a wonderful day full of sunshine! What are your favourite “sunny day” things to do?
hiking, gardening, reading in the garden and slowly doze off with birdsong and beebuzz and of course watching the stars and fireflies at night, oh BBQ parties in the garden and eating strawberries and fresh peas and lettuce and herbs and ice cream…hmm, what is not to like about summer?
Beautiful photo!
I absolutely love your list! Summer is the BEST, isn’t it? 🙂
I love to read undernthenshade of the wisteria, a perfect day!
That would be so wonderful…it DOES sound like the definition of a perfect day! 🙂
What a beautiful picture! So pretty with pinks and blues! One of my favorite things to is hanging out with my roses….pruning, deadheading, cleaning, staking, smelling, gazing….it’s fun!
Thank you! Ah, I so love your idea to spend your sunny days with your roses! Sounds absolutely delightful! 🙂
What a stunning photograph! It certainly is hot now but i refuse to complain because we so needed this. I like to walk, read in the shade and putter in the garden. But I think today I will stay in the house during the afternoon to stay out of the heat. Have a good day! ~Thea
Thanks, Thea! We definitely can’t complain about this lovely weather, but you’re right, it would have been a tad uncomfortable to be in the garden yesterday! Much more agreeable today! Enjoy! 🙂
Taking photos of beautiful summer is one thing I enjoy 🙂 Annie
Me, too! It’s so fun to find all the pretty places and spaces…. 🙂
A very pretty, summer filled picture!
Thanks so much! 🙂
Gardening, gardening, and taking walks in gardens. Felicitations on getting some decent weather!
It’s about time we had a bit of a break, I think! 🙂 Your “sunny day” plans are absolutely delightful!
A favourite sunny day pastime is sitting on the patio with a cup of tea reading the paper or a gardening magazine! Glad you’re getting some nice weather. It’s been perfect here today too!
Ah, that sounds positively delightful! I hope you’re having an enjoyable sunny weekend!
Sunny days….31 deg. C. in Edmonton, and.I can’t stand heat! Sitting in the shade of our apple tree, and falling asleep under the influence of a pint (or two) of cold Pilsner Urquel is my idea of a dealing with a sunny day!
Now, THAT sounds like a great plan! 🙂
I hope you didn’t receive any hail last night and that your garden is intact.
Reblogged this on 20 Lines A Day.
You have given us a perfect sunny day photo. And, gosh yes, if only we could preserve the summer sunshine.
I guess we just have to enjoy it when we can! It sure would be nice just to flick on a “sunshine switch” when it’s bitterly cold and snowy outside…. 🙂
We had a “cold” front move through a few days ago and brought our morning temps down to 70F – I don’t think we have ever seen a temp like that in July. What a treat. I have been going out around 7am and doing a bit of garden work. Heaven in the cooler temps. We heat up to high 90’s during the day and you are welcome to that sun and temp. Just too plain hot. I know you have had a cool cool spring/summer, so your sunny day must be paradise!
Our time in the sun was all-too short; we’re back down to cool temperatures and plenty of rain. Had a wicked thunderstorm last night and flash flooding in some parts of the city; not the kind of blow we needed after all the flood devastation of the past few weeks. On a positive note, it is amazingly green here – normally at this time of year, the gardens are feeling a bit parched.
I don’t know if I could handle the sustained heat that you get during the summer – I suppose one would acclimatize, though! I can see that the cool weather would be so welcome!
I hope you’re having a fabulous weekend!
