April doesn’t always bring showers around these parts (and the May flowers are still pretty skimpy at this point)! I’m not complaining in the least as I can practically hear the parched soil slurp up that iced water.

If you’re wondering about the title of this post, you can thank a rather drenched customer who walked into the library this morning and announced that it was “snraining” outside. By the time I walked home a few hours later, it had turned to certifiable sleet. We’ll take it, happily.

Quite the word for it but it suits it to a T! It was indeed raining, snowing, raining and then somewhat sleeting here in Edmonton today too. It would just be nicer at this time of year if Mother Nature could just keep the moisture to the rain end of things instead of dampening everything and everyone with snow. April kind of lost it’s old saying of “April showers bring May flowers” this year but bring on some needed moisture (hopefully within reason) and some beautiful, hearty flowers to go with Mother’s Day if possible. 🌷🌷🌹🌹🌸🌺🌼🌸🌺🌼🌳🌴
