It’s difficult to choose the footwear that is best suited for my walks these days, but I love this time of year and its transitory nature … halfway between ice and mud ….

I’m with you Sheryl! My part of Fish Creek has lakes and mud covering the pathway one day, and is dry the next. And the wind! My, my. But I’ll take that anyday over -30.
