Snow in June!

Well, at that altitude anyway (2,437 m/7,995 ft). ย My hubby and I hiked up to the top of Moose Mountain in Kananaskis Country a couple of weekends ago. ย I should say, “almost” the top – you can’t actually completely summit the mountain as it is home to a fire lookout and it would be impolite to invade the privacy of the personnel stationed there. ย We got to a few feet away, and sat atop the heli-pad to enjoy the absolutely incredible views. ย “On a clear day you can see forever…”.

Well the mountain tops are certainly a different world temperature wise. Amazing!

Absolutely gorgeous!! What a view. I wouldn’t want a house up there though….way too cold.

I donโ€™t think it would be the most hospitable place to live, either! Like you, I donโ€™t care much for the coldโ€ฆ.

Oh yes! But the descent was more difficult on the knees…. ๐Ÿ™‚

Breath taking, says the flatlander. The only high thing here is the freeway.
