I realized today that I promised – way back in early summer! – to post a photograph of the new pergola built by the community gardening group I belong to. It was a big project for us, the largest undertaking we’ve had since breaking ground and completing the actual garden build (which I wasn’t part of, not being a garden member at the time). We’re pretty pleased with the result!
Over the summer and autumn, I took a bunch of photos of our community garden, the produce and flowers we grew, and the social events and work parties we held…if you’re interested, you can check out the gallery here. Nice to reflect on the past growing season and dream about the one to come! 🙂
Great and substantial and yes good to think about the summer to come.
Something to look forward to! Happy New Year!
We have a similar pergola in our front yard, built by my husband! It’s covered in snow right now . . .
This one is a bit snow-encrusted right now, too! 🙂 It appears to be a good, solid structure. Hope you have a wonderful New Year!
It’s a beautiful pergola and garden. Happy New Year Sheryl!!
Happy New Year to you as well! I hope it’s a fantastic one for you!
What a healthy looking garden, there must be quite a few green thumbs in your area! Love the pergola.
It’s always amazing to see the community garden at the peak of the season – some really talented growers there! 🙂 Hope you have a very Happy New Year!
Very nice and sturdy.
We hope it will stand for many years to come! Happy New Year to you, Cynthia – I hope it is a delight!
It’s stunning. Well done. Thanks for remembering to share.
Thank you so much, Alys! I hope 2016 is an amazing year for you!
Thank you, Sheryl. You too!
What a wonderful photographic record you have of the garden. And what flourishing plants and flowers!
It was a successful year in the garden, despite a few setbacks! You are already well into your New Year’s Day – I hope 2016 is good to you! 🙂
Thank you, Sheryl.
What a fabulous structure!
It really makes the garden “pop!” 🙂 I hope you have a wonderful New Year, Donna!
That’s a sturdy and attractive-looking pergola!
It will be a lovely asset to the garden, that’s for sure. I hope your New Year is spectacular!
Thank-you – and the same to you! 😀
Looks great, what are you going to grow up it?
We haven’t yet decided how to plant it – hopefully we’ll come to some sort of consensus this year. We also have to figure out if we for sure want to incorporate seating as well….
