Well, we were shut out in December but it finally happened today….

This very cooperative snowy owl posed beautifully for my hubby and I in a field southeast of Calgary.ย  So happy to have found one at last!ย  ๐Ÿ™‚

What kinds of birds have you seen lately – in your garden or on a drive or hike?ย

N.B. – I’m afraid I had some difficulty with WordPress and this post was deleted a few hours after it was originally published.ย  Any comments and likes it received were tacked onto another post – sigh! As well, there may be a chance anyone who receives e-mails of my posts will get two copies – I’m so sorry!

AN INTERESTING BIRD…ALL IN ONE WITH ITS BACKROUND.
I am new to 20 words, I still haven’t had time to work out a page. I’ll get there sooner /perhaps later!

It really does blend in, doesn’t it? Hard to spot when driving by! ๐Ÿ™‚

Good luck on setting up your page – I’ll be sure to watch for you!

What a beautiful bird to see. We’ve never been so lucky. Great shot!

I was so happy to see one – it’s been a long time! And to get some photos was extra-special.

What a wonderful bird, we have a Little owl that spends a lot of the night on our roof; we hear it often but don’t often see it.

I’ve only seen a few owls in my life; to have one live on top of the house is rather special! Hopefully it’s not too noisy and doesn’t disturb you while you’re trying to sleep.

Really beautiful! We had geese flying over this morning, so maybe they think winter is over too, and there are several white egrets in the next valley – always pretty to see them fly!

Oh, I would love to see white egrets – that would be wonderful! They must be so beautiful.

I’ve seen birds during this winter season, but I certainly haven’t seen anything like this gorgeous snowy owl. Thank you for sharing with those of us who regularly see sea gulls, robins, hawks, and Canada geese. ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s definitely a treat to see something different! I would love to see a robin right about now, but I guess it’s a tad too early for here…. ๐Ÿ™‚

Beautiful. Looks right at home there. Nothing as exciting as that sited here this winter.

They really do fit right in with the landscape! ๐Ÿ™‚

SO COOL! I haven’t seen any owls since last summer.

I was definitely excited to see this one…I haven’t had the opportunity to see many owls, I guess I’m not looking in the right places.

I have never seen an owl in real life. I think they are very interesting and would love not only to see one of some kind and get a picture of it. This is a great picture of the snowy owl. Hugs

They are truly amazing creatures! I do hope you get a chance to see one sometime.
