Spring stirrings (a miscellany).

Ah, spring!  Have I mentioned how much I love this time of year?  There are so many reasons to celebrate!

Glories of the snow  

Anemones 

Pea shoots on my windowsill 

African violet 

Unblanched popcorn shoots

    Everything is early here – about a month ahead of schedule. Right now I have some really gorgeous irises blooming and our rose has just started to bloom too – so early! My alliums are also blooming along with some yellow columbine.

    Wow, you’ve got a lot going on in your garden already! What type of rose do you have? My columbines are only about four inches tall yet – it will be a few weeks yet before I see blooms.
