Poppy (corn or Flanders) – Papaver rhoeas

10/10, no notes. The cucumber plants in my garden may be finding conditions somewhat challenging this year, but the poppies – ah!

Just as an aside, last year I was chatting with a customer at a market somewhere in Alberta and she asked if there were native poppies here. The answer is yes, but they are definitely not this one. We have P. kluanensis (P. radicatum ssp. kluanensis) as well as P. pygmaeum. Both are alpine species and the latter is quite rare.
