A beautiful day on the ice at Clear Lake (just outside of Stavely, Alberta). It’s not common to see hot air balloons in the wintertime here, but a pilot took one over the lake while we were fishing this morning. I didn’t have anything but my point-and-shoot on me or I would have gotten a pic.
A beautiful picture of Clear Lake, Sheryl. I got the prize last week. What a great book! So many different ways to use berries in cooking. Many of these recipes I would never have thought of for meals. It’s exciting to think of trying something completely different.

Beautiful. I was down by the Potomac River this morning and startled that there was ice all the way across–likely about 1/4 inch or less. I bet yours is thicker. Maybe even skateable.
