I’m spreading a little blog love during the month of July! I’ll be reblogging recent entries from some of my favourite bloggers – I encourage you to click through and check out more of their work. Enjoy! ~Sheryl

Off The Edge Gardening

A few drops of rain yesterday.  I was hopeful for a reprieve, but ultimately it was inconsequential in the scheme of things.  A pathetic effort.  No need to shelter or to wish waterproofs were at hand.

This trollius is a moisture lover.  It should be in a complete sulk.  At the moment it doesn’t seem to be complaining too much.  Those stamen are being flaunted outrageously and defiantly.  Long may it continue.

  1. That is quite the interesting looking flower – trollius. Hope I spelled it right. I have never heard of it, but it is rather striking.

We are expecting a thunderstorm here again sometime in the very early morning hours of Wednesday, after temps reached 30-32 degrees in the past two days. Our front lawn could certainly use another dose of water from above.

How’s it where you are Sheryl?

    • Yes – “in-your-face yellow” describes it beautifully! A wonderful flower. It’s pretty arid here as well and you spot them every once in awhile in public gardens. I wish I had grown them when I had my perennial flower beds back in the old place.

I'm delighted to hear from you - thanks so much for your comments!
