Welcome to Flowery Prose!
Here at Flowery Prose, you'll find me musing about plants...everything from my experiments with flowers and veggies in my garden to the wild (and maybe not-so-wild) flora I discover while walking in city parks or hiking in the mountains and the prairies near my home.
Thank you so much to all of my wonderful followers and friends for your support and feedback - you are all AMAZING! I appreciate the kindness of each and every one of you!

/ January 10, 2013You’re welcome! It’s nice to have some colour while it snows and snows and snows and SNOWS outside…take care out there today! I was thinking I ought to have skiied to work this morning….

/ January 9, 2013They’re so gorgeous but I’ve never had any luck re-forcing the next year. I haven’t bought them in a while because the cats don’t know “NO”…or at least they give no indication of it.
Sheryl @ Flowery Prose
/ January 10, 2013They would definitely be a huge “cat attractant,” that’s for sure! (I guess most things are…).
I’m glad you mentioned re-forcing, because I aim to try it. I doubt I’ll have any luck, but I figure it’s worth a shot anyway.

/ January 10, 2013I’ve never grown or seen this type before, either, but I think it may be my new favourite!

/ January 9, 2013That is lovely! And timely, because my cats don’t know “no” either and my just-about-to-open amaryllis got smashed to the floor earlier this week. So thanks so much for sharing photos of yours. : )

/ January 10, 2013Oh, no, that’s too bad! But cats will be cats…they just can’t help themselves! (Part of the reason why they’re so lovable!).
